 MOTION DESIGNS

Motion Design Lyric Video

Because no video footage was available, this music video was created using Photoshop, After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro to animate the still images.

The challenge with this project was the number of words and the speed at which they are delivered in the speech and the rap portions of the song. The ear can perceive and process audio lyrics much faster than the eye can read and process written lyrics. Therefore, provocative images were added to the visual lyrics to best convey the song's meaning. I used a variety of software to create this video: Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and primarily After Effects.

Animated Logo

The owner of a coral supply business wanted a "Vegas-style" logo that was also retro-looking.

Using vintage signs from the 1960s as a reference, I created the logo in Adobe Illustrator. Because the logo will be used on social media and on the company webpage, I created an animated gif with chase lights for an extra Vegas pop. After Effects was used for the chase lights.

CD Cover and Face Design

Working with renowned musician, Tom Lyles,

I created the design for his latest release, "The Movement Chapter 2".

The songs on this CD have an "otherworldly" feel so the artwork has a celestial feel while incorporating elements that the client specified (artist image, guitar, and microphone).

Print and versions for online were created.

Adobe Illustrator and Adobe PhotoShop were the primary tools used to create the artwork.

CD Cover and Face Design

Working with renowned musician, Tom Lyles,

I created the design for his latest release, "6520".

The song "6520" expresses the feeling that while

we are living in the year 2020, in terms of

racial strife, it feels like our society is no further

along than we were in 1965.

In order to create a juxtaposition between 1965

and 2020 while retaining a cohesive theme,  I

researched R&B, funk, and rock concert posters

of that era along with images of the Civil Rights

Movement.

Print and versions for online were created.

Adobe Illustrator and Adobe PhotoShop were the

primary tools used to create the artwork.

BUCKNER'S PLACE promotional video

Working with the management of Buckner's Place, I wrote, art directed, created and produced this short introductory video for use on the organization's website and media kit.

I created all elements for the video via photography and Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere.

TIGER PARALLAX

This is my first attempt at creating a parallax and first time using Adobe After Effects.

In order to creat this 2.5 D effect, I took an image, broke it apart in Photoshop, repainted the background image and then animated it in After Effects.

WEBSITE DESIGN and SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

This non-profit organization was in need of a new, responsive design, mulitpage website featuring a gallery, blog, video, social media links, online application form, events page, and section for donations.

The client needed an affordable site that would be easy for them to edit and update themselves without incurring further costs from a designer or hosting company.

After conducting a thorough needs assessment, I created the graphic content, edited and co-wrote the copy, designed the information architecture and site map, and built the website using Squarespace.

In addition to creating all assets, photograpy, and the video, I set up social media accounts and linked them to the website. This includes a Youtube channel.
